The Punjab Kickboxing Association, Sangrur, organized the Senior and Junior Kickboxing Championships in Malout, Sri Muktsar Sahib for seniors, and in Bheekhi, Mansa for juniors from May 12th to 14th and May 19th to 21st, respectively, to select players for the Punjab team under the Sports Gradation Policy implemented by the Punjab government, which includes Kickboxing.
The outstanding kickboxing players from Sanskriti K.M.V. School participated in this championship and ensured their place in the Punjab
Kickboxing team.
In the men’s light contact category, Shivankar Pratap Singh won the gold medal in the 57-kilogram weight category, and Narinder Singh, the kickboxing coach of the school, received the silver medal in the 67- kilogram weight category.
In the junior girls’ division, Komalpreet secured the gold medal in the 55-kilogram point fight category, and Sarika Devi won the gold medal in the 65-kilogram light contact category.
In the junior boys’ full contact event, Shiva Arora won the silver medal in the 51-kilogram weight category, Tarun Kumar won the silver medal in the 54-kilogram weight category, and Ranesh won the silver medal in the 54-kilogram point fight event. Yug Dhal won the bronze medal in the 79-kilogram light contact and point fight events, and Gurman Mattu won the bronze medal in the 89-kilogram point fight event.
Principal, Mrs. Rachna Monga extended her congratulations to the victorious players and their coaches, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Narinder Singh, and Ms Rosy Lakhi. She also motivated them, emphasizing their diligent efforts towards attaining their future aspirations in the upcoming National Kickboxing Championship.
