Our Grade 4 students had an enriching and joyful learning experience during their visit to the botanical garden at Doaba College, where they explored a wide variety of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowering species in a serene natural environment. Through hands-on learning, students observed leaf shapes, textures, plant habitats, and life cycles, making their classroom concepts come alive. They actively asked questions, participated in discussions, and learnt by seeing, touching, and experiencing nature firsthand. Appreciating this experiential approach, Principal Ms. Rachna Monga encouraged students to learn beyond textbooks and emphasized that such outdoor learning experiences help develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong respect for the environment while strengthening observation and inquiry skills. We sincerely thank Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, Principal of Doaba College, for providing this invaluable learning opportunity, and Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, for his expert guidance and for mentoring our students so wonderfully.
