District Level Chess Tournament.

Sanskriti KMV School flagged four days School District Level Chess Tournament, in coordination with District School Tournament Committee from 9th Oct. to 12th Oct. 2019, for U-14, 17, 19 boys and girls in its campus, giving platform to District schools to prove their mettle in playing Chess. The event was inaugurated by Mr Bawa Henry, MLA Jalandhar North gave his presence for the inauguration of the event. Mrs Rachna Monga, Principal, welcomed Mr Bawa Henry with a floral felicitations and a token of honour. On this occasion, Mr Bawa Henry, mentioned that loyalty to self and our society is the foremost norm required for the healthy society. Mrs Rachna Monga in her inspiring address to all the participants, mentioned that chess plays a vital role in the mental development and instills moral character too by binding the player with a thought process and a winning move. On the first day 120 girls participated from the schools namely Cambridge International for Girls and Co-Ed School, Apeejay School, Royal World, La Blossom, Dayanand Model School, Innocent Hearts School, MGN School, IVY World School, Guru Nanak Public School, DIPS Suranussi, and the host, Sanskriti KMV School.

On the first round of the day for girls section, U-14 Cambridge School won from DMS, U-17, Police DAV Public School won from DIPS Suranussi, U-19 Cambridge Co-Ed. won from Royal World School and entered into 2nd round of the tournament.
On this occasion all the officials from the participants schools along with HOD Dr. Pradeep Kumar, Chief Arbitrator Mr Dinesh Ghera and Mr Anurag Bhardwaj were also present.

Sh Chander Mohan ji, President Arya Shiksha Mandal extended good wishes to Mrs Rachna Monga, Principal, and mentioned that Sanskriti KMV School is extensively preparing and promoting students for sports and games through platforms such as School District Tournaments.
Final award distribution was done by Mr Iqbal Singh Randhawa, District General Secretary.
